Tips On Blog Set Up

FOR NEWBIES :

1. In setting up your first Blog, only supply the barest minimum of info asked for or that could go in the space; then take a look at it with that bare minimum.

2. In the profile, do not supply info that anyone could follow, like bread crumbs, to your doorstep.

3. You can learn about blogging by doing it, but tips and FAQ can save you time, like knowing that clicking on the smaller blogger logo will take you back to the BLOGGER entry site so you can sign-in to edit your (first) blog.

4. In terms of work habits, you may find it convenient to create original "copy" (writing, art work, etc) in the blog first, and then to copy it to another site for back up. But laziness will prevail, back-ups will diminish, and grief will follow. I recommend the other way around : create "the copy" at the back-up site first, and then copy/paste to the blog. The blogger host may assure us that copyrights stay with the creator, but they offer no promises to keep your "copy" at the site, and so it all could disappear in a heart beat.

5. To start your blog, go to the top-right of this screen and click on the words "Get Your Own Blog."

6. If you offer comments here for Newbies, please start your comment with the words : "For Newbies." Thanks.
